General Information

Women’s Studio Workshop’s Summer Art Institute (SAI) workshops feature carefully targeted instruction in printmaking, papermaking, book arts and related subjects. Your teachers are leaders in the field, have extraordinary skill and a passion to share their knowledge of new methods and materials.

WSW has developed a series of collaborative workshops with our neighbors at R&F Handmade Paints, the finest manufacturer of oil sticks and encaustic paints in the country and the Center for Photography at Woodstock, home of a state of the art digital lab.

SAI classes are kept small so you can work comfortably and have a productive experience. We encourage all people to participate in our programs. Women’s Studio Workshop consciously seeks to serve a diverse community and welcomes men to study and experience a space run by women.

WSW does not discriminate on any basis in the administration of our educational programming or membership. Participants with special needs are encouraged to contact the Workshop in advance so we can insure adequate access to studios and facilities.

Daily Schedule
Typically classes begin at 9 am and run until 4 pm. A break is taken for catered vegetarian lunch every day at 12:30. On Friday classes end at 3 pm. Studios are open for students to work from 6 am until 11 pm.
